East Meets West: Traditional Wedding Guest Looks from JP 2025
Juma Jux and Priscilla Ojo’s traditional wedding, dubbed JP2025, was the talk of West Africa in April. Even before the date of the wedding, which was April 17th, 2025, the internet was flooded with the hashtag #JP2025.
Nigerian weddings are known for their lavishness and extravagance, so the anticipation for the wedding was not a surprise. Given that the bride and groom are both public figures, the wedding was attended by other prominent figures in West Africa.
The outfits worn by the bride and groom for their pre-wedding photoshoots were so magnificent that nothing less was expected from the wedding itself. But while most of the public were obsessed with the couple’s looks, I also took notice of the looks of the people in attendance.
So, without waiting any further, let’s look at some of the amazing outfits from Nigeria and West Africa’s public figures at JP2025.
Hilda Baci
Starting strong, we have the former Guinness World Record Holder who showed up to the traditional wedding in the aso-ebi for the day. Her dress was a corset bodycon, floor-length, off-shoulder dress.
She had adorned the top of the dress with a brown fabric that blended in seamlessly with the rest of the dress, which was made with the aso-ebi fabric. Her dress was custom-made by Evelyn Mattey.
She was definitely among the best dressed, according to numerous lists made by speculators and us.
Uche Montana
The Nollywood star was among the most famous and beautiful faces to grace the event. She was also wearing the aso-ebi fabric, but of course, with a design that she rocked effortlessly.
Just like Hilda Baci, Uche also wore a floor-length bodycon dress. However, the bodice of her dress featured a plunging neckline and was hand-beaded. This masterpiece was made by 2207 by Tbally, owned by Tolulope Bally, popularly known as Tolu Bally.
She was one of the best-dressed on my list.
Diana Eneje
The internet star was a stunning pink butterfly at JP 2025. Her dress was all things shimmer, shine, and sparkle. The highlight of her outfit was the combination of her pink dress, with a pink aso-oke gele, which was the second aso-ebi style. This blend of pink on pink was a brilliant touch, if I do say so myself.
Her dress also featured a detachable shoulder piece shaped like flower petals, and was made by a bridal shop called Bibilawrence, owned by Ms. Blessing Efeh. Diana’s dress was nothing short of excellent.

Michelle Aigbe
The beautiful Instagram star was also adorned in the pink aso-ebi and gele. Her dress was sleeveless, and the bodice was hand-beaded to perfection with pink and green beads, which was such a beautiful addition.
She also had a pretty pink hand fan with her initials - Mimi.
Her dress was draped around the waist multiple times, creating a wrapper-like effect. Her dress was custom-made by Lasosa, a brand owned by Pammy Sosa, popularly known as Pampam.
Enioluwa
Now moving on to the men on the list, let’s talk about the internet sensation and friend of the bride. Enioluwa graced the occasion in a larger-than-life Agbada, beads longer than his torso, a horsetail, and a walking stick.
He looked simply regal, the pinnacle of Yoruba excellence.
Alvin
The celebrity makeup artist was a sight for sore eyes at JP2025. He had two outfits for the wedding. The first was a grandiose agbada with three layers on each shoulder. Eni’s agbada was larger than life, but Alvin’s was outsize.
The agbada also featured tassel-like fringes at the hem and was paired with a magnificent staff worthy of a king. His second outfit was a well-tailored dress shirt made with a green material that featured a sheer material in the middle of his back, slightly exposing his spine. The rest of the sheer fabric was adorned with appliqué on the sides.
Both outfits were simply breathtaking.
It was adorned with beads and some other accessories. Alvin’s agbada was made by Laura Threadsmen, owned by Mrs Laura, and his dress shirt by LFD by legend.
All the guests at JP2025 were stunning, to say the least. The traditional wedding looks were a testament to the beauty of Nigerian fabrics, the skill of Nigerian stylists, and the charisma of Nigerians.
